I’m a nail virgin. At least, press-on nail. I’ve never had the reason to every try them before. I played sports, I was a bit of a tomboy, press-on nails weren’t really me. But every time I walked in Target or CVS, I would see the little neat packages sitting there, waiting for me.

I may have been watching too much trashy television or something this week because when I went in to Target yesterday, I just couldn’t help myself. Maybe I just wanted to hide my short nails (I sometimes bite them).

Nope, not me.

It’s been 24 hours since I first put on my nails, so I thought I would take a second to evaluate how that time has gone.

Positives:
+ I love how crisp and professional they make my nails look
+ They make me feel so girly and sexy
+ They were cheaper than a real manicure, and more convenient with my schedule

Negatives:
I had to remove two nails in order for me to be able to take out my contacts (ouch)
It was a bit hard to get used to typing on my keyboard at first
They looked a bit fake, so I filed them down some to make them look normal.

I kind of want to take my nails out one night this week, just to see if the way that they feel can translate into how I act as a person. Maybe I will, maybe I won’t. In my mind, if you look sexy and feel sexy in your own skin, other people will notice and respect you more. I know that next time I use press-ons, I’ll go with the short ones!

Do you use press-ons?
